A Mostly Made Up Montana Memoir by Ava Bijou Palmer

This story is based on my grandfather’s childhood in Montana. Though names were changed and considerable artistic license was used in creating the main characters, this story is, at heart, about my grandfather. For that reason, I dedicate this book to him—without him and his stories about his horses, I would never have written this.

Here is a short look at a different time and a different place—the year 1958, as it happened in Libby, Montana.
